Clocks come in many shapes and sizes. Some clocks play familiar melodies or chime, ring or gong on the hour, and still others just tick away the seconds, minutes, and hours. Take the time to stop and think just how important clocks are to each and every person on earth.
Metal wall clocks can be either analog or digital. You can easily differentiate the two because analog clocks display time using a “hand” that rotates clockwise on a clock face with either Hindu-Arabic or Roman numerals. Digital clocks, on the other hand, display the time on an LCD screen.
Big Ben, anyone? Perhaps the most famous example of large clocks to date is the Great Bell of Westminster (called Big Ben), a clock tower standing in the British House of Parliament in London. It was erected in 1856, and has since influenced the design of large stand-alone clocks and wall clocks even to this modern day.
